WordPress Caching Tip

Use one caching solution at a time (e.g., WP Rocket or LiteSpeed). Multiple caches conflict and can break CSS/JS or SEO previews.

Enable SSL/HTTPS (Required)

  1. Get an SSL certificate (Let’s Encrypt or your host’s free SSL).
  2. Enable HTTPS in hosting (force HTTPS/redirects).
  3. Update site URL to https:// in CMS settings.
  4. Run a “search & replace” to fix mixed-content (images/CSS/JS).
  5. Add/confirm HSTS and redirect all http → https.

Tip: Ask your host’s support for “force HTTPS” and HSTS if unsure.

Create a Staging / Dev Environment

  1. Use your host’s one-click staging (most managed hosts provide this).
  2. Clone production → staging; protect with a password/noindex.
  3. Test updates (plugins, theme, SEO fixes) safely on staging first.
  4. Push approved changes from staging → production.
